The honeymoon suite has been beautifully decorated and has elegant basket chairs hanging from the roof especially designed for newlyweds. To cater for everyone, Mbizi also has some modest accommodation in the form of self catering, self contained cottages. These come with a kitchen fully furnished with a stove, fridge and a braai area at a nearby Jacaranda tree bar. These have proven popular with larger groups of visitors |

Chapel
The 40 seater chapel at Mbizi was built after visitors suggested that the park would be an idea place to host wedding receptions. "I designed the chapel myself and it was a total inspiration from the heart," says Mervyn Senior. Built on solid rock the chapel has a lovely thatched roof. Since the building of the chapel, it has always been popular with newlyweds and those who would like to renew their vows. The chapel is setup in a quiet and secluded fashion and one can request to have a fully catered reception for up to 120 people. Swimming Pool
This is absolutely the most spectacular feature of the park and is popular with visitors to the park. One can safely say that there is no other pool like it in the world and thus it deserves special mention. It is built into a rock on top of a kopje and it has a built-in waterfall which allows water to cascade into the pool about three meters below. The pool itself is set 30 meters above the ground. From it, one can view urban Harare which is 22 kilometers away and can also have a 360 degree paranomic view of the entire game park. Need a changing room? Just look for a cave underneath the pool. A visit to the pool itself will give you a unforgettable swimming experience. |
